How to Root Xiaomi Redmi Note 3G Indian version



Recently Xiaomi launched an awesome smartphone. Name of this smartphone is Redmi Notewhich is available on online shopping website flipkart from 2nd December. Currently 3G version of Xiamoi Redmi Note can be purchased through Mi’s flash sales model. Redmi Note is not so much costly. It is available at an affordable price of Rs 8,999. It has brilliant features which are given below:-

Ø 5.5 inch HD display
Ø Oct core CPU by MediaTek clocked at 1.7GHz
Ø runs on Android 4.2.2 optimized with MIUI 5
Ø supports Dual-SIM
Ø packs a 13MP rear camera
Ø 5MP front camera
Ø 2GB RAM

It is expected 4G version will be available to sale in late December. Xiaomi has decided to sell the 4G version on flpikart and through 100 Airtel exclusive stores as well as in six cities- Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kalkata, and Mumbai. Redmi Note has been specifically made for India so it is also available in India. If a customer wants to buy it from Airtel first of all he has to register on Airtel site and then he will be able to buy it offline.

By rooting the device, you can access some amazing Android apps that require root access and one can even install custom ROMs on their choice. This native Root/Unroot Method is apparently for Redmi Note (W+TD+SG) MIUI stable ROMs.

Note - : We’ve tried it on Indian Redmi Note 3G (Model number: HM Note 1W) running MIUI – JHDMIBH38.0 (Stable build).

                           

Procedure to Root Redmi Note 3G version (WCDMA) v 38

1.    First of all you have to download the  RedMiNote_rootonly_rel.zip file to the internal storage of your device.

2.    Open the Updater app from Tools folder and tap on Menu key.

3.    Then tap on ‘Select update package’ option and choose the downloaded root file.

                                   

4.    Click on the ‘Update’ option, wait for the update to complete and then reboot to finish.
5.    Now you are at the last step  and to complete this procedure you have to open the ‘Security’ app. Select ‘Permission’ and enable Root permission.


                     
Congratulations!!! Your phone is rooted. To confirm, you can install the Root Checker app and make sure to grant it root access when promoted.
      When rooting has completed, OTA will not be able to install OTA updates automatically but can simply install the OTA and update using above method mentioned.

How to Unroot  Redmi  Note –

If you want to unroot your Redmi Note, you can easily unroot it through downloading the UNROOT_rel.zip file and install the zip file following the method stated above. After updating, just reboot the device and you are all eligible for OTA updates.
